Are you dying to know how on earth I managed to fit a phone in my mouth??! I have a case called “Loopy” with a rubber loop on the back that is meant for a finger but as it turns out works nicely for other purposes. (Sidebar – the case says LOOPY in big pink letters and my husband likes to tease me that makes it “personalized” perfectly for me.)

Thank you for sharing your lake time and your thoughts with us! I have been reflecting on the importance of the subtle aspects of recovery, and your analagy seemed so perfect. There are days when it is easy to navigate, days when it’s tough, and days when we just have to stay off the water and make a different choice (like curling up in a cozy chair with a good book and a hot cup of tea:). We are blessed to live in such beauty! That was really fun joining you on your paddle, what a unique and entertaining episode. I’m heading out to do some kayaking myself, I’ll be thinking about your insights on sobriety and calm waters and such as I paddle along.

I love that you took us along on your kayak ride – what a beautiful place to be! The analogy was spot on, thank you for sharing those thoughts. On another note, I can totally relate to the panda bear reference – me being ‘blessed’ with eyelashes that are practically clear, I would have kept my glasses on, too!
